Dr Fatme Charafeddine

Dr Fatme Charafeddine is a pediatric cardiologist and electrophysiologist at Kidsheart Medical Center – Dubai.

She obtained her B.S. degree in Biology, and her M.D from the American University of Beirut. She then completed her postgraduate medical training in Pediatrics and Cardiology at the American University of Beirut – Medical Center. She earned an additional fellowship training in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and became Internationally Board Certified in cardiac devices.

Dr Charafeddine is American Board Certified in Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, and she is actively collaborating with international data scientists from the US and Qatar on several ECG projects deploying machine learning models to improve the automated interpretation of pediatric ECGs.

CLINICAL EXPERTISE:

Dr Fatme Charafeddine has special interest in

  • all aspects of Inherited Arrhythmia disorders.
  • the care of patients with implantable devices.
  • pre-participation cardiac screening of children and young athletes.

INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATIONS:

  • Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society
  • Member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society.

She holds a visiting EP position at KidsHeart Medical Center in Dubai, Al-Ain and Abu-Dhabi.
