Current Position:

Working as a Speech Therapist in Kids Heart Medical Centre

CLINICAL EXPERTISE:

  • Assessment and intervention for swallowing and voice disorders.
  • Experienced in dealing with patients with various neuro-degenerative diseases, stroke, patients who have underwent surgical procedures such as tracheostomy, laryngectomy and phono-surgery.

  • Deal with children from the primary to the senior level having various disorders such as autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, global developmental delays, chromosomal abnormalities etc.
  • Do feeding and swallowing assessment and intervention for students having various feeding and swallowing disorders.
  • Practice routine-based intervention and techniques of ABA.
  • Practice all types of alternative and augmentative communication, assistive technology and aided language stimulation extensively.
  • Provide directions to the educators in carrying out the language goals pertaining to the literacy skills.
  • Carry-out fortnightly planning of intervention and daily response recording of the goals administered.
  • Conduct skill clustering at the beginning of the year with new IEP and review of IEP at the end of the year.
  • Conduct separate sessions for speech skills(respiration, phonation, articulation, resonance, voice), auditory skills and swallowing skills.
