Newborn and Infant Wellness Checks
Newborn and Infant Wellness Checks
Gentle Monitoring of Growth and Milestones
Your baby’s first year is full of rapid changes in growth, development, and daily routines. Wellness checks provide regular opportunities to track progress, address concerns, and reassure parents along the way.
At KidsHeart Medical Center, our Pediatricians offer newborn and infant check-ups across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain. These visits ensure your baby’s health is closely monitored while giving you space to ask questions and feel supported.
Your Baby's First Year Moves Fast, These Visits Help You Keep Up
Newborn and infant wellness checks are scheduled at key stages throughout the first year to track your baby’s growth, development, and overall health. Even when your baby seems perfectly fine, these visits catch potential concerns early, before they become bigger problems.
What Happens at a Wellness Visit?
Your pediatrician will measure weight, length, and head circumference, screen developmental milestones, review feeding and sleep, check vaccinations, and give you space to ask every question on your mind. It’s thorough, calm, and built around your baby.
When Should You Come In?
Routine checks are recommended at birth, 1 week, 1 month, 2, 4, 6, 9, and 12 months. Between those visits, bring your baby in if you notice feeding difficulties, slow weight gain, excessive crying, fewer wet diapers than expected, or missed milestones.
Two Parents Are Always Welcome
Wellness visits go better when both parents can attend. You each notice different things, ask different questions, and leave feeling more confident. We encourage both parents to be part of these early appointments
Vaccinations Are Part of It, But Not All of It
Vaccines are reviewed and given when due, but that’s only one piece of the visit. Growth tracking, milestone screening, feeding guidance, and sleep support are all part of the same appointment — so no concern gets left out.
Gentle Care, Honest Answers
Our pediatricians use a gentle approach with infants and give clear, honest feedback to parents at every visit. If we notice something worth investigating, we explain it plainly and walk you through next steps, no guesswork, no unnecessary worry.
