CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Through the years of proactive experience in reputable obstetrics and gynecology hospitals, I developed leadership and skills, which helps me to train juniors for different obstetrics and gynecological situations. It helped me also to improve my department by instituting new protocols, revising old ones, reviewing outpatient clinic infrastructure, functioning, and establishing with Primary Health Care center shared care services for low-risk pregnant women.
Furthermore, I am an excellent communicator that would work and relate extremely well with colleagues, staff and patients and I encourage my team to do the same to improve the relationship between doctors, nurses, and patients.
Our department is dealing mainly with high-risk pregnancies. 2/3 of our patients are high-risk pregnancies. I utilize my knowledge, experience, and skills in managing obstetric- medical complex cases. My training in this area, in Canada, Maternal-Fetal Medicine division in The Ottawa hospital, helped me to refine my skills and established the obstetric Medicine, and Feto-Maternal Medicine Unit in Dubai Hospital since July 2015
ACADEMIC / TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I am an associate Professor in Academic Department of Obstetrics/ Gynecology since 2014 to date. My current responsibility includes supervision and training of Residents, junior and senior house officers.
– Examiner in Dubai medical college ( DMC ) and MMI for residency’s entrance program
– I am involved in teaching students, interns, residents in obstetrics-gynecology (Theory and hands-on)
– I participated in teaching medical students in Ottawa University (Canada), case based learning (CBL)
– I am also conducting classes and bedside teaching in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the medical students (Dubai Medical College),
– I supervise residents in the Labor suite, wards, and operation room to strengthen their knowledge and surgical skills. Since 2019 I am involved in teaching the postgraduate in the INTERNATIONAL CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME IN CHILD AND MATERNAL HEALTH/ IRISH COLLEGE OF GENERAL PRACTITIONERS. I very much enjoy and have a genuine commitment to medical education as I find it tremendously rewarding. I always have had excellent feedback on my teaching abilities from medical students, nursing and midwifery staff as well as senior and junior colleagues.
