Parental Counselling and Education
Parental Counselling and Education
Because Supporting Your Child Starts with Understanding Them First

At KidsHeart Medical Center, we believe no one knows your child better than you. But parenting a child with emotional, behavioral, or developmental needs often comes with moments of doubt — “Am I doing this right?” “Why is this so hard?” “What am I missing?”
Parental counseling and education aren’t about pointing fingers. It’s about giving you tools, insight, and calm. When parents feel informed and supported, children feel safer and more understood.
A type of professional support designed to help parents observe the challenges of raising children and build stronger family relationships. It provides a safe, non-judgmental space for parents to learn new skills, address behavioral issues, and improve communication with their children.
We provide gentle, practical guidance to parents across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain.

What Is Parental Counseling and Education?
It’s structured support for caregivers navigating challenges such as:
- Managing behavior, tantrums, or emotional outbursts
- Understanding ADHD, autism, or mood differences
- Supporting social difficulties or school stress
- Balancing discipline with empathy
- Co-parenting or family communication issues
This is not “therapy for parents.” It’s expert guidance tailored to your child’s needs — and your parenting journey.
When Should You Consider Parental Support?
You may benefit from this service if:
- You feel stuck or confused about how to respond to your child
- You and your partner aren’t on the same page
- School concerns are causing home stress
- You’ve tried different methods, but nothing seems to work
- Your child’s diagnosis leaves you feeling overwhelmed
- You just need space to think things through, without judgment
There is no shame in seeking clarity. There is only strength in asking for support.
How We Support Parents at KidsHeart
Here’s how our sessions are structured:
- Parent-Only Consultations (No Child Present): Safe space to speak openly without fear of “saying the wrong thing.”
- Detailed Exploration of Concerns: We explore what’s hard, what’s confusing, and what might help.
- Education on Child Psychology Topics: We explain diagnoses, emotional patterns, or developmental expectations.
- Behavior and Communication Strategies: We offer concrete ideas for structure, boundaries, praise, and calm.
- Follow-Up or Family Sessions (if needed): We stay alongside you, not just for one session, but through the journey.
We don’t give “one-size-fits-all” parenting advice. We help tailor strategies to your child, your values, and your family life.
